Festivids Recs
Jan. 22nd, 2012 08:38 amVids = TV/movies/anime clips, set to music.
festivids = seasonal secret exchange where people request certain source materials, & people vid them. Think "Yuletide but with vids instead of fanfic."
Just Dance, Utena the Musical set to Lady Gaga's Just Dance.
(Utena the Musical is one of the most obscure sources ever, so if you're into it, check the main post for two other vids set to it. Of course, my rec is for the most heinous of the three.)
Express Yourself, Newsies set to Madonna's "Express Yourself."
Bloom in Adversity, a really beautiful Mulan vid.
Papa's Got a Brand New Bag, the song by James Brown, set to Maru the cat videos.
Outside the Box, Maru/boxes, set to U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"
Hero by Imogen Heap, set to Kamikaze Girls
I Feel It All by Feist, set to Mad Men. The vid focuses on the character of Peggy. I like the song choice, too. It's deceptively up-beat for the lyrics, which I think captures the tone of Mad Men pretty well.
Sophia's Song - character study of Sophia from Last Exile, set to Poe's "Wild."
