Everything was half-off or less, please don't judge me!

Sunshine by Robin McKinley
High School Debut, vol. 8 by Kazune Kawahara
Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale (in hardcover for $5!!)
Final Fantasy X
Angel: After the Fall, issues 5, 6, and 10
Buffy, Season 8, issues 16 and 21
Blankets by Craig Thompson
Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris
An amazing Lion King artbook! It's small but has great images - not just from the movie, but all kinds of sketches, and has pretty poetic prose to describe the goings-on. The Lion King is my favorite Disney movie, so I'm pretty excited.

Did you get these at the CCBC book sale? BECAUSE I WAS JUST SELLING BOOKS OVER THERE THIS AFTERNOON!

The Sookie Stackhouse Novels = mystery meets romance novel meets vampires meets identity exploration in rural Louisiana. GOOD DEAL!

True Blood season 1 is essentially a mixture of the first three novels, weighing heavily on the first. There are a lot of differences, but I like them both in different ways for different reasons.

I LOVE THAT ICON.

OMF I am excited for this vampire shit. Once I finish the small pile of immediate things I'll gorge myself on True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse novels.

can I borrow Blankets from you someday if I am good to it?

also, I feel that I could indeed spend 40 hours reading RaceFail posts and not get the whole thing.

You can certainly borrow it!

I definitely haven't spent 40 hours reading RaceFail posts, but I think I'm getting a good idea of what's going on.

[livejournal.com profile] sparkymonster elaborates on the recent outing of coffeeandink in a comment here (http://jsl32.livejournal.com/114191.html?thread=148751#t148751), and she also links to two different timelines [of the same events, just two different POVs] here (http://seeking-avalon.blogspot.com/2009/01/timeline.html) and here (http://wiki.feministsf.net/index.php?title=RaceFail_09).

BLANKETS.

Blankets stomped on my heart.

It hit on my personal baggage, actually, having been very close at one point to someone with that sort of shame and fear and loathing, and I could barely get through it -- I mean, it's absolutely incredible, but it hurts.
